- As writers, we should be respectful of other author’s work and copyrights. Therefore, do not post articles, excerpts, posts or prose by any other author without permission from the copyright holder. Minor ‘fair use’ excerpts not exceeding one paragraph (or 4 sentences) may be used only if the content is publically available on the internet and the original source or author is attributed via hyperlink to the article’s original location (if available.)
- novelkicks.co.uk fully supports an artist’s right to freedom of expression. However, as a courtesy to other members, please make it very clear in a thread subject title if you are posting anything that might be considered objectionable, such as sexually-explicit material, references to violence or traumatic events or posts which contain colorful language.
- novelkicks.co.uk is not responsible for the content or opinion of messages posted at this site. Members are responsible for their own posts and agree not to hold novelkicks.co.uk liable for any messages posted. Likewise the comments and opinions of Moderators of novelkicks.co.uk do not reflect the opinions of novelkicks.co.uk or its owners.
- Posts containing abusive material, racial slurs, threats and derogatory statements referencing gender, nationality, race or sexuality will be removed. Do not post anything that could be considered illegal. The administrators and moderators of novelkicks.co.uk reserve the right to remove any material deemed objectionable and remove the posting member’s posting privileges.
- Do not post personal information unless you are willing to share it with everybody on the forum. Anyone posting another member’s personal details without permission will have their posting privileges removed.
- Posting Email excerpts or Private Messages of any type or length is not allowed. There are no exceptions to this rule.
- Do not use novelkicks.co.uk as a venue for commercial advertisements. Links to your own websites, blogs or business are acceptable in moderation and within context (or in the body of a signature) but do not post promotional/advertising messages, unsolicited URLs, or out-of-context links that would lead readers to your site/product/service. It is the sole discretion of novelkicks.co.uk and its moderators as to what constitutes an unsuitable advertisement.
- Your signature can be used to promote your site, business or other venture as long as it relates to you personally. This does not include links to other forums that you moderate. You may not allow others to use your signature. Your signature is not a commercial entity and cannot be sold, or rented for commercial gain.
- Anyone who finds a posted message objectionable is encouraged to notify a moderator immediately. novelkicks.co.uk has the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame if we determine that removal is necessary.
- Discussions about moderator or administrator actions are welcome in email or local private messages, but should not be discussed in public forums. This is out of respect for the members, moderators and policy involved.
- Please do not create multiple usernames. If you have a legitimate reason to create a second username (maybe another household member joining) then contact the administrators first. Anybody using multiple member names to purposefully deceive other members or moderators of novelkicks.co.uk will have their posting privileges removed and all associated member names deleted.
- While we respect and appreciate multiculturalism, the language of use for this site is English. Out of respect for other members who might not understand them, any posts or comments made by members entirely in a different language will be removed.
