Book Themed Necklaces

Five Literary Themed Necklaces.

There are some wonderful literary themed jewellery available and they can make lovely, unique gifts for people who are into books. With it being Valentines Day tomorrow, here are five that would be on my wish list.

carry your heart necklace

I thought this necklace was beautiful. It quotes one of my favourite poems (which I have to admit, I first heard a Cameron Diaz film,) i carry your heart  by e.e. cummings. It’s handmade too. It’s available from Etsy for £19.81.

Peterpan quote necklace

Carrying on the theme of quotes, I thought this to be another beautiful necklace. It’s a very recognisable quote for anyone who has read or heard of Peter Pan which was written by J.M Barrie. It’s got such a gorgeous blue background and it feels a little magical. I definitely want one! This is also available from Etsy for £6.19.

Personalised necklace

This next one is a Personalised Book Quote And Initial Necklace from Not On The High Street. I do like things that I can add a personal touch too and I thought these were really cute. It’s a wax seal initial charm and it’s presented on a postcard print of your favourite book quote so you can have whatever one you want for £16. Maybe I should give this list to family. I can have an early birthday right?

harrypotter necklace

I think this one is amazing. The detail and the hard work that must have gone into it. It’s a Harry Potter Bookshelf Necklace with a Gryffindor theme, it’s from Etsy and it’s £32. It’s such a unique necklace and I can think of many people I know (me included,) that would love this necklace. I can’t believe it’s made from wood and clay. There is a wand, scarf, Harry’s glasses and there is even a tiny Hedwig. Love it.

Infinity charm necklace

The last one isn’t obviously book related but I thought it was so beautiful. It’s an infinity symbol and it’s presented on a card featuring a wonderful quote from Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, ‘And in that moment I swear we were infinite.’ Sooooo pretty. It’s available for £12 from Not On The High Street.

I'm Laura. I started Novel Kicks back in 2009 as I wanted a place to discuss books and writing - two loves of my life. As someone who has anxiety, these two things give me, and I am sure countless others, a much needed escape.
There is a monthly book club, writing exercises, prompts, reviews, author interviews, competitions and guest posts. I cover many genres and I hope there is something for everyone.
I grew up by the sea in Dorset and currently live in Poole with my husband, Chris and three cats. I love writing and have a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing from Falmouth University. I am writing my first book. If only I could stop pressing delete. Chris has threatened to stop it from working. Haha.
I have always loved creative writing since I was in first school and would very much like to meet my teacher, Miss Sayers, to say thank you for all the encouragement she gave me then.
When not writing, I love reading, cats, Disney, singing (I can't sing but this doesn't stop me,) and falling into a good TV show or film. If I could step into any fictional world, it would be amongst the characters in ABC's Once Upon a Time.
I love reading many genres and discovering new authors.
