Product Review: Pixel Scrapper – Digital Scrapbooking

Hello 2021. It’s lovely to see you. Another national lockdown for the UK… not so much.

I don’t know about you but, even with everything going on, I felt so relieved when 2020 came to an end. It felt like we could turn a page on a horrible year and even though we are still locked down, I am feeling a little bit more hopeful. Maybe ‘normal’ will return in some shape or form this year. I am trying to stay focused and positive as we progress into January.

This brings me to the subject of today’s review.

I have suffered with anxiety for many years and so for me, finding ways to maintain good mental health is so important. Digital planning and scrapbooking has been something I have been doing for about 3 years. It’s one of the best things to keep myself calm and allows me to keep things clear in my head. I find this hobby very relaxing. It is also a good place to make lists and me, I love a good list.

With digital planning and scrapbooking, comes decoration. One of the best sites I have discovered since starting is Pixel Scrapper. I have really come to rely on this site.

It has something for everyone and there are many graphics covering many themes. For example, I wanted to decorate my week with cats. Once I had searched this theme on the site, the only problem I had was picking from the vast selection of stickers and graphics that are available on Pixel Scrapper. I think it turned out really nicely.

It really is a community of artists and gives people the chance to showcase their art. It’s also really easy to find things too. You can filter by artist, theme, subject, colour or type (to name but a few.)

For anyone doing the Goodreads 2021 reading challenge, this is also a good way of creating a book tracker for the year.

As well as offering all this great art, it also has a wonderful community where you can chat to like -minded people and even upload your spreads and gain inspiration from others.

So, how does it work?

It’s free to register (and by the way, once you do, you can download a free kit of your choice.) You are then given credits on a daily basis that will allow you to download a certain amount of elements.

However, if, like me, you want to be able to download the full kit of a theme you like all at the same time, Pixel Scrapper do offer a monthly and annual subscription that allows you to download up to five kits a day. That’s a lot of content. It’s literally hundreds and hundreds of digital decoration for scrapbooking or digital planning. I have been subscribing to this for a while and I have not regretted it for a moment.

I'm Laura. I started Novel Kicks back in 2009 as I wanted a place to discuss books and writing - two loves of my life. As someone who has anxiety, these two things give me, and I am sure countless others, a much needed escape.

I have always loved creative writing since I was in first school and would very much like to meet my teacher, Miss Sayers, to say thank you for all the encouragement she gave me then.
When not writing, I love reading, cats, Disney, singing (I can't sing but this doesn't stop me,) and falling into a good TV show or film. If I could step into any fictional world, it would be amongst the characters in ABC's Once Upon a Time.
I love reading many genres and discovering new authors.
